Hello, Artists!
Thanks for inquiring about my art classes, workshops, and private lessons in my newest studio, The Escape II.
The basic information is simple - Talent, I believe, is knowledge plus persistence toward reaching the goal of making beautiful images: Artwork! So we jump right in and make stuff. Learning to draw, composition, color theory, and lots of materials and techniques lead to the knowledge part; adding the work of learning to see as an artist sees and applying your newfound knowledge persistently leads to --- Voila! Beautiful, expressive works of art.
As for costs, dates, and details, the 2010 costs for adult and children’s Drawing and Painting Classes are:
One-Hour Drawing and Painting Sessions: $18 per hour, once a week; 4 one-hour classes are $72 per month.
Three-Hour Drawing and Painting Sessions: $30 per session;
4 three-hour sessions are $120 per month.
Classes are small, limited to 5 students to maximize individual attention, and held at my studios in Round Rock, Texas. The comfortable air conditioned studios are filled with natural light and surrounded by plenty of open-air space for plein aire painting. Easels and tables are provided. Materials are included in children’s class fees. I am happy to provide adult students with a complete Supply List so that materials may be purchased for longtime use.
Spring 2010 classes have begun and are held Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings and afternoons, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., with optional once-a-month Friday workshops on specific topics, at additional cost.

As an adult student, current or previously enrolled in any of my classes and/or workshops, you are also invited to participate in Fun Friday Open Painting Sessions, held each Friday when there is no specific topic workshop scheduled, at no additional cost to you. These uninstructed Friday painting sessions feature models, still life set-ups, outdoor painting, and whatever else artists want to work on in the company of other artists during the last day of the week. A popular 4 O’clock Happy Hour chills down the afternoon, often filled with critiques and art questions, and upcoming show information. Not to be missed.
